SUMMARY:Strong Hand Only | TX
DESCRIPTION:Register Now for Strong Hand Only\nStrong Hand Only is a one-day\, 500-round intermediate pistol course focused on developing the ability to operate a handgun effectively when normal two-handed shooting is unavailable. The course prepares students to continue solving problems when one hand is injured\, occupied\, restricted\, or required for another task. \nStudents will work with both the strong hand and weak hand while developing the essential skills required to control\, fire\, reload\, and maintain the pistol. Training emphasizes one-handed grip development\, recoil management\, visual processing\, trigger control\, weapon presentation\, ammunition management\, malfunction clearance\, movement\, and precision at varying distances. \nThe course progresses beyond isolated one-handed marksmanship drills. Students will learn to solve increasingly complex shooting and manipulation problems while maintaining safe gun handling\, acceptable accuracy\, and accountable speed. Training includes strong-hand-only and weak-hand-only shooting\, pistol transfers\, one-handed reloads\, one-handed malfunction clearances\, positional shooting\, movement\, multiple threats\, and unconventional weapon manipulation. \nEvery block of instruction follows the Trident Concepts ATPT methodology—Assess\, Train\, Perform\, Test. Students first assess their current capability\, train to correct specific performance deficiencies\, perform the skill under progressively more demanding conditions\, and ultimately test their ability against objective standards. \nUpon completion\, students will leave with measurable performance gains\, a better understanding of their one-handed capabilities\, and practical training methods they can use to continue developing these skills. \n\nStudents will train and be evaluated on:\n\nEstablishing an effective one-handed grip with either the strong hand or weak hand.\nManaging recoil\, visual processing\, and trigger control at varying distances.\nPresenting the pistol safely and efficiently with the strong hand.\nTransferring the pistol safely between the strong hand and weak hand.\nFiring accurately with either hand from ready\, positional\, and unconventional positions.\nPerforming strong-hand-only and weak-hand-only reloads.\nClearing malfunctions with one hand using available equipment\, body position\, and environmental surfaces.\nEngaging anatomical target zones with accountable speed and acceptable precision.\nShooting while moving and managing multiple threats without sacrificing control or accuracy.\nDemonstrating one-handed pistol proficiency during graded exercises.\n\nThroughout the course\, instructors employ the Trident Concepts ATPT methodology—Assess\, Train\, Perform\, Test—using a deliberate practice model. Each block begins with an assessment of current performance followed by focused instruction addressing the most significant technical deficiency. \nDrills are conducted in short\, focused iterations with immediate coaching. Students apply one primary correction\, repeat the task\, and determine whether the correction improved performance. Each block concludes with an objective evaluation and performance review identifying what improved\, what still requires refinement\, and how the skill transfers to more demanding shooting problems. \n\nWho This Course Is For\nStrong Hand Only is designed for trained pistol shooters who want to develop the ability to operate their handgun effectively when only one hand is available. \nThis course is a strong fit for: \n\nLaw-enforcement and military personnel who carry a pistol in a duty or operational role.\nArmed professionals who may need to continue operating after sustaining an injury.\nSerious concealed carriers who want greater capability beyond normal two-handed shooting.\nShooters with prior formal handgun training who want specialized one-handed instruction.\nStudents who want to improve weak-hand shooting and manipulation skills.\nShooters who want objective standards\, direct diagnostics\, and measurable improvement.\nStudents who want practical solutions for one-handed reloads and malfunction clearances.\nAnyone who wants to identify and deliberately train weaknesses in their one-handed pistol performance.\n\nThis is not a beginner handgun course. SUMMARY:Long Range Handgunning | TX
DESCRIPTION:Register Now for Long Range Handgunning\nLong Range Handgunning is a one-day\, approximately 500-round intermediate pistol course focused on developing the ability to make consistent\, accountable hits at extended handgun distances. Students will engage targets beginning at 15 yards and progress to 50 yards and beyond while learning how distance magnifies errors in sight management\, trigger control\, stability\, and follow-through. \nStudents will refine the fundamentals required for precision handgun shooting while developing a better understanding of acceptable sight movement\, visual confirmation\, trigger manipulation\, recoil management\, and shot calling. Training emphasizes learning what the shooter needs to see and do to guarantee the required hit rather than allowing speed alone to dictate performance. \nThe course progresses beyond unsupported standing marksmanship. Students will learn to increase stability and precision through kneeling\, prone\, braced\, and supported shooting positions. Available cover and environmental support will be incorporated to demonstrate how position\, stability\, and reduced muscular effort can improve performance at extended distances. \nEvery block of instruction follows the Trident Concepts ATPT methodology—Assess\, Train\, Perform\, Test. Students establish their current capability\, train specific technical deficiencies\, perform the skill under progressively more demanding conditions\, and ultimately test their ability against objective performance standards. \nUpon completion\, students will leave with measurable performance gains\, a better understanding of their handgun capabilities at distance\, and practical training methods they can use to continue developing extended-range shooting performance. \n\nStudents will train and be evaluated on:\n\nMaking consistent\, accountable handgun hits from 15 to 50+ yards.\nRefining sight management and visual confirmation for increasingly difficult shots.\nImproving trigger control while minimizing unnecessary movement of the pistol.\nManaging recoil and maintaining consistent follow-through at extended distances.\nDeveloping accurate shot calling and using visual feedback to diagnose performance.\nUnderstanding acceptable sight movement and its relationship to target size and distance.\nApplying kneeling and prone positions to improve stability and precision.\nUsing cover\, barricades\, and available support to create effective braced shooting positions.\nManaging shooting cadence based on distance\, target difficulty\, and required accuracy.\nTransitioning between different distances and levels of precision without sacrificing accountability.\nDemonstrating long-range handgun proficiency during graded exercises.\n\nThroughout the course\, instructors employ the Trident Concepts ATPT methodology—Assess\, Train\, Perform\, Test—using a deliberate practice model. Each block begins with an assessment of current performance followed by focused instruction addressing the most significant technical deficiency. \nDrills are conducted in short\, focused iterations with immediate coaching.
