Course description:

The Concealed Carry Tactics (CCT) is a two-day advanced gun-fighting class teaching the fundamentals for every daily carrying of defensive pistols and supporting equipment. The class will cover various modes of concealed carry, supporting equipment for concealed carry, warrior mindset, practical training drills that progress from dry fire training to live fire training in the various concealed carry modes. The class will start by revisiting correct fundamental shooting habits and progress to concealed carry modes without compromising shooting speed, combat marksmanship or student safety. Graded evolutions throughout the class provide instant feedback to the student on skill development, technique deficiencies and overall ability.

The linear progressive training exercises refines the combative fundamentals in order to progress to more advanced courses.

Graded evolutions throughout the course not only provide instant feedback to the student on skill development and overall ability, but also apply new levels of stress challenging the student at every point within the course. The linear progressive training exercises constantly test the student’s combative fundamentals physically and mentally to improve their shooting skills, validate their gear and prepare them for real world operations.

Course description:
The Close Quarters Fighting (CQF) course provides instruction on how to deal with single and multiple attackers within close quarters that are both lethal and nonlethal in nature. The material is based off proven TTP’s in a linear progressive format from the worse to best case scenarios. The program begins with basic combative topics the progressive to edged weapon awareness. The pistol is deployed at close contact ranges and the material flows from available weapons to available targets. Students learn how to use their issued weapons and empty hands as pain compliance tools for dealing with non-complaint non lethal threats.

Close Quarters Fighting

Terminal objectives:
Upon completion of the Close Quarters Fighting (CQF) course of instruction the student will successfully qualify with a 70% or better on the final standards test using their issued pistol and duty gear.

Enabling objectives:
The course aims at reinforcing in close quarters; non-diagnostic pistol manipulation, malfunction clearances, ammunition management and the combat mindset. It exposes students to the dangers of contact weapons and how to defend and employ them. Core skills include:

Combat Marksmanship

Terminal objective:
Upon completion of the Combat Marksman (CMK) course, the student will successfully pass with a 70% or better on the Standards Test using a tactical pistol and carbine with red dot sights or iron sights firing duty ammunition.

Course description:
The Mid-Range Marksmanship (MRM) is a 3-day advanced course that will instruct the tactics, techniques and procedures necessary to deliver effective fire at extended ranges using a tactical M4 platform. This course will tax the operational limitations of the weapon system, ammunition and student from 50 to 500 yards. Students will develop the skill to achieve first-round lethal strikes at unknown distances. Students will also be able to correct for wind and determine the previous round’s bullet track to achieve second-round lethal strikes if necessary. Students will become familiar with proper zeroing procedures, Point Blank Range, known and unknown distance shooting and the various positions optimally suited for mid-range engagements.

Terminal objective:
Upon completion of the Mid-Range Marksmanship (MRM) course the student will successfully qualify on the final standards test using a tactical M4 carbine with an issued optic (magnified optic or red dot sight) and firing duty match grade ammunition without committing any safety violations or tactical errors to the instructor’s satisfaction.

Course description:
The Operational Readiness Assessment is a 2-day program that uses various benchmark drills to observe and assess a tactical team’s operational readiness. The program is broken up into one day of pistol incorporating various drills and ending with a standards test and then a second day of rifle incorporating various drills and ending with the CQB Safety Test. The team is provided tangible performance metrics that consist of areas of sustainment and areas of improvement. Assessments are performed at the individual and team level to give the micro and macro view of readiness. The team is provided with suggested training plans that support their overall operational readiness by focusing their resources and training time to both sustain and improve performance.

Terminal objective:
Using issued firearms and supporting equipment, meet the surgical shooting standards for CQB by achieving a minimum of 80% score as a team.

Description:
Private instruction affords the client the opportunity to be one-on-one with the instructor. More attention is giving to specific skills and the refinement of current skills.

All the weapons platforms can be covered in a private instruction format. The three levels of private instruction are;

• Fundamentals, which introduces clients to new aspects of the weapons systems. It is an excellent way to get a taste for the different platforms or master the fundamentals.
• Skill Building, which deals with previously learned skills and the introduction of new ones. The key at this level is developing skill’s confidence.
• Practical, which deals with the realistic application of learned skills to create greater situational confidence. Depending on the level of skill, Simunitions training aids may be used.

Strong Hand Only (SHO)

Course description:

The Strong Hand Only (SHO) is part of our Proficiency Module program. It is anintermediate 1-day class that will continue the combative fundamentals forging processfor the tactical employment of a pistol using strong hand only, weak hand only and weakside techniques. The student will be provided specialized instruction and structuredtraining drills both live fire and dry specific to the subject. The class is designed to developcorrect shooting habits and introduce challenging drills that will improve the student’sbasic marksmanship using only one hand. Graded evolutions throughout the class provideinstant feedback to the student on skill development, technique deficiencies and overallability.

The Shooting on the Move, Pistol (SMP) class is designed to create a mobile firing platform for those who have developed effective and aggressive shooting skills with their pistol and carbine from a static position. This class will provide the instruction and the opportunity to engage targets while moving from a variety of directions and speeds. Instruction will be provided on categories of movement, movement skills, performing weapons manipulations; increasing one’s hit potential and increasing one’s situational awareness while moving. The fundamentals of shooting on the move are discussed emphasizing mobility and stability while effectively engaging targets.

The class is designed to develop correct shooting habits during hours of low light and introduce challenging drills that will improve the student’s basic marksmanship while employing artificial light. Graded evolutions throughout the class provide instant feedback to the student on skill development, technique deficiencies and overall ability.

Combative Edged Weapons (CEW)

Course description:

The Combative Edged Weapons (CEW) is a 1-day course that will introduce the combative fundamentals for the tactical employment of an edged weapon during lethal confrontations. Topics covered include; introduction to the folding knife, safety & training consideration, general legal considerations, choosing a folding knife, carrying, drawing & deploying a folding knife, various grips, basic targeting, introduction to feeder/receiver mindset and TRICON basic 4 count template. Practical evolutions will include the TRICON basic 4-count template from deployed, draw and carry mode. Training partner evolutions will include TRICON basic 4-count template versus static and active role players. The combination of static and active exercises will provide the opportunity to develop the TTP necessary to address the challenges of close quarter lethal confrontations. The final training exercise will test their skills as they conduct scenarios versus an active opponent.

Terminal objective:

Upon completion of the Combative Edged Weapons (CEW) course the student will:
a. Demonstrate a successful deployment and application of the TRICON basic 4-count template using an inert folding knife trainer in a simulated close quarter lethal confrontation against an active role player to the instructor’s satisfaction.
b. Deliver a first count strike to target number one using inert folding knife training from the carry position within the par time of 2.5 seconds.
