Sir,
I read your article called Grey is Good in the NRA magazine. I would like to send it my church security team, but unable to do so from the NRA web site. Your article is well written. Would it be possible for you to post this in your Web portal so that I could send this to my team?
Thanks
Bill
Hello William,
Thank you for the compliment, here is a link you can go to on the SI website to find the article then share it from there.

Good luck and keep us posted.
I read your article with and without glasses in the Oct 2021 NRA magazine. In your article you covered the difference between hard and soft front sight focus that I found to be very helpful. You also mentioned TDE , and I have not been able to find any other info that goes into more detail on that concept. Do you have any articles written on TDE?
Thanks
Barry
Hello Barry,
Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the article. TDE stands for time, distance and exposure. I have spoken on it quite often and if you did a search within our blog you should find a couple of blogs. Good luck and keep up the hard work.
I have just found out about you on Brownell’s website. Of all the you tube videos yours are the best I have found. Good solid information presented in a way that us newer gun owners can understand and follow easily.
I have just watched your “ Daily defense season 2 – EP41 basic 50 round range drills “ video. In that video you say that if I go to the Trident Concepts website that I can get more information on this set of drills. My You Tube notes that this was posted 11 hours ago but I can’t find anything about the drills. Is this an older video and this information is no longer available or am I not looking in the right place. Like everything else I have seen by you it seems to be a valuable training tool.
Anything you can tell me about this would be much appreciated.
Keep up the good work. I think you are providing a valuable service to us new gun owners.
Thank you,
Rick Battle
Hello Rick,
Thank you for the kind words and welcome to an excting and fun community. Glad you are enjoying the videos and we have some really amazing stuff planned for the future so keep checking back. It wasn’t an older video, but it was filmed a while ago and just released. We decided after the fact to go in a different direction with the drills, but that doesn’t mean the videos are not still valuable. I’m sorry about the change, but we will see what else we can post to help. There might be a few drills we post to our YouTube channel so keep an eye out there as well. Good luck on your journey and keep us posted. JLG
Looking for the “50-round drill” tab listed in video 2.41.
Thanks
Hi, thanks for the post. We are still trying to figure out the best way to share. This was going to be a larger project and unfortunately the project got put on the back burner. Still not sure the best solution, but I believe Jeff is toying with the idea of posting it in a blog. Hopefully soon, but keep checking back or check the blogs he posts about once a month. Have a great day.
Jeff – I have watched about 90 of your “Daily Defense” videos via Brownell’s. All in all, I find them well done and thank you. Two suggestions…
If you ever do a follow up to https://www.brownells.com/guntech/daily-defense-season-2-ep-49-keeping-a-firearm-in-your-vehicle/detail.htm?lid=18604, you might mention the idea of somehow securing a “truck gun” so that it can’t be easily stolen when you are in a grocery store or paying for gas, i.e., away from your car or truck. You might allow consider adding shotguns to the list of possible truck gun choices, in addition to pistols and rifles.
If you ever do a follow up to https://www.brownells.com/guntech/daily-defense-season-2-ep-51-dealing-with-a-nighttime-home-break-in/detail.htm?lid=18606, I suggest you mention the importance of identifying the threat – Cooper’s rule #4 (and one advantage of holing up in a “strong room”). Ayoob can cite several cases for you (and us) of people who have shot their own child or a neighbor who had a key to your house and who came home drunk, and went into your house rather than his or her own.
Hello Patrick, thank you for the kind words and suggestions. Will keep those in mind for future videos. Stay safe.
